Stats Show Trump's 'Enhanced Vetting' Drastically Lowered Refugee Admissions
One of the biggest sources of leftist crybabies' tantrums? Trump imposing his "travel ban," where we finally started exercising a little caution before letting refugees into the Land of the Free. They'd much rather us throw the doors open and have an immigration free-for-all. A practice many of the same tantrum-throwers don't exercise every time they throw the deadbolt. Just saying.
Well, I'd buy some stock in Kleenex. More progressive tears are about to cascade in a Niagara fashion. The latest stats on incoming refugees are in and, boy oh boy, do they look good.
The U.S. is on pace to admit the fewest number of refugees since the years immediately following the 9/11 attacks, as the Trump administration’s enhanced vetting has slashed resettlement from many war-torn countries.
In the first three months of fiscal year 2018 — October, November and December — about 5,300 refugees were admitted, according to State Department data released last week.
This is going by fiscal year. Not the year you and I follow on a normal day calendar.
If that pace continues through the end of FY2018, annual admissions will total roughly 26,000, far below the cap of 45,000 set by the Trump administration in September.
The religious composition of resettled refugees has also changed along with their geographical origins. People who identified as Muslim composed about 14 percent of refugees admitted so far in FY2018, compared to about 40 percent in recent years...
Well, would you look at that.
These are some good numbers. Refugees' track record on crime isn't the best. Especially from the Sharia-compliant demographic. We can see how well the refugee game is playing out for Euro cousins. Luckily for us, we've got the orange fella in the Oval Office to say "no thanks" on our behalf and to turn the troublemakers away.
Leftists will no doubt be appalled by these stats. Even though all of them say the nay-no to housing refugees themselves. They can whine until they soil their Huggies. We're not listening. Our tiny tots staying unraped and among the living is more important than racking up a couple extra diversity points.
Also, there's no rule or law saying the United States must be the world's daycare center. No, the inscription on the Statue of Liberty is not law. Our country must first take care of its own, the rest of the world never. It's not our job to ensure every person on Planet Earth has a safe place to live. We help out of the goodness of our hearts.
While we're on the subject:
