Trump's New Vetting Policies Stem Refugee Influx. Majorly...

Nichole Cooper
December 06, 2017

An extremely rare sighting of the "government doing its job" has been reported. Experts say this rarity was almost extinct, preserved only in the cage of history.

The raging river of refugees has trickled to merely an annoying nerve-fraying drip, following Trump's four-month ban on admissions.

Stricter vetting of refugees and their families is making America safer one averted stabby terrorist at a time:

Only 3,108 refugees came to the U.S. in October and November, the first two months of the new fiscal year. The Obama administration admitted 18,300 refugees in the same period last year. The new numbers represent a dramatic 83 percent drop.

We call that a statistical significance.

The limits on refugees are in addition to Trump’s broader travel ban on people from several countries. Trump promised during the presidential campaign to “stop the massive inflow of refugees” to protect the country from terrorists.

"The president's strategy on refugees is guided first and foremost by the safety and security of the American people,” Trump administration spokeswoman Helen Aguirre Ferré told Fox News.

Before some dingus weighs in with "But the Statue of Liberty says we should accept everyone blah blah blah, hot take, hot take, hot take," do us all a favor: find a tall bridge. Jump off it.

What is or is not inscribed on, near, or around the Statue of Liberty is not public policy. Plus, if the French had known then what they know now about refugees hailing from Islamic nations, I'd like to think they would've added an addendum to the inscription to include: "*Except those who seek the destruction of innocent people via gun, bomb, suicide vest, truck, blades, acid, or shitty beards."

Besides, no one wants to take the refugees anyway.
