When a Rapper and a Redneck Agree on Guns
The debate on gun control, or yet another debate on gun control, started thirty seconds after reports of the Charelston shooting. Our piece of garbage president pivoted to the issue faster than a duck on a junebug. It would have been nice if we were more concerned about the victims and families instead of automatically trying to score political points on social media, but that's not the world we live in. That would require "humanity" from the left.
Most, especially, celebrities, are speaking out for more gun control because it makes them feel good about themselves. Other's have the courage to have more common sense, like Toby Keith.
"If it can happen in church, it can happen anywhere, so there's no answer to it. Countries all over the world that have really strict gun polices, like Oslo, Norway. It happens there. [If a police officer had been praying at The Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church on Wednesday] maybe seven or eight of those nine people would still be alive."
Yeah yeah, I know. "But he's a country star. All of those backwards hicks cling to their guns as much as they ling to white Jesus." To be fair, it's not shocking for a country singer to agree with the NRA.
But what about a rapper? Enter Killer Mike...
What happened in Charleston is an act of terror committed by a terrorist. Simple & plain. I wish those folks in that church had been armed— Killer Mike (@Killer Mike) 1434629313.0
@primatemachine I don't care what color and I support gun rights for all. Common sense ain't race exclusive. salutes and respect to all— Killer Mike (@Killer Mike) 1434680569.0
I love when someone tried throwing the Fox News canard at him too.
@THEAlleyeceeing fuck Fox News I learned that from My Father, Grand father and Men that raised me. 😃 get it right— Killer Mike (@Killer Mike) 1434680223.0
So yes, I agree with both Killer Mike and Toby Keith... and not with Democrat strategists who say they "cannot imagine the horror that could’ve occurred if people were sitting around with concealed weapons."
What I can imagine is less than nine people being killed, and one of the deceased being the filthy, racist terrorist who did this. I know, I know, my white supremacy is showing.
