Is this shocking or not shocking? For the first time since 9/11, a majority of American’s think we are losing the war on terror. Now, when 64% disapprove of President Obama’s handling (or lack there of) of ISIS, it’s clear where the blame belongs.

No wonder the President blames the media…

In a new CNN/ORC poll, just 18 percent of Americans surveyed said the U.S. and its allies were ahead in the terror fight, with 40 percent now saying the terrorists have the upper hand. The numbers are almost completely flopped from when the question was first asked, just one month after the 9/11 terror attacks.

Then, 42 percent said the U.S. was winning the war on terror, while 11 percent said the terrorists were dominating the fight.

Those numbers have bobbed up and down through the years, but this latest poll showed the most dramatic spike in public opinion, as Americans have grown increasingly concerned about ISIS in light of the attacks in San Bernardino, California and Paris, France.

A few days ago, on Damage control duty, President Obama told NPR

“We haven’t on a regular basis, I think, described all the work that we’ve been doing for more than a year now to defeat ISIL,”

…If you’ve been watching television for the last month, all you have been seeing, all you have been hearing about is these guys with masks or black flags who are potentially coming to get you.”

…Look, the media is pursuing ratings. This is a legitimate news story. I think that, you know, it’s up to the media to make a determination about how they want to cover things.”

Yes really. Like a petulant young child, incapable of accepting responsibility, Obama blames the media.

So the very same media which leans overwhelmingly to the left, the very same media that whisked their golden calf in Obama into The White House, is now to be blamed for his shortcomings. Because the media is Conservative and biased against him… or something?

MAJOR IRONY ALERT: President Obama made this statement… to the media. Specifically NPR who receives millions upon millions in federal funding. So there’s that.

So is it really likely that Americans think Obama’s doing a crappy job only because they’ve been manipulated by an anti-Obama, right wing media? Hmmm, allow me to offer a different possibility: maybe if Obama was a little less concerned about hitting the talk show circuit and a little more concerned with doing his job, the numbers would be different.

More importantly, maybe we actually would be winning the war against terrorism. Just a thought.
