Pink Floyd Attacks Bon Jovi Over Israel. Bon Jovi Fires Back...

Brodigan
October 03, 2015

Yes, I realize that Jon Bon Jovi is generally a leftist. Granted, he's one of the few liberals who isn't a complete douche when Republicans use his songs, but he still supports Democrats and voted for Obama, and because of that, to some ignorant masses, he is seen as a terrible human being.

In this case however, he's right and whatshisface from Pink Floyd is the douchecanoe. Why? Simply because Bon Jovi believes that Israel has the mere right to exist. Extreme, I know.

Roger Waters penned a long open letter to Bon Jovi slamming the group ahead of their October 3rd concert in Tel Aviv. The former Pink Floyd bassist, long an opponent of Israel's stance toward Palestine, accused Jon Bon Jovi and his band mates of standing "shoulder to shoulder" with Israel before listing many of the casualties suffered by the Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli government in an op-ed for Salon. Waters has routinely called on his fellow artists to boycott performing in Israel.

Yes, according to whatshisface from Pink Floyd, Jon Bon Jovi "stands shoulder to shoulder with the settler who burned the baby."

He means Israel.

The same Israel who whatshisface has been calling for people to boycot. Where does Jon Bon Jovi stand on the matter?

"I always heard what a wonderful place Israel is – the birthplace of all religions. I have been everywhere and Israel was a place that I’ve always wanted to visit, but it never worked out. This time I insisted that Israel must be on our list."

So thank you guy from Pink Floyd for making me defend Jon Bon Jovi.

I'm fairly certain part of me just died inside.
