The reality is there are 23,000 people we suspect of being Jihadis, like these killers, roaming around under very little control. And I don't think people do feel safe. It's not a question of London not being resilient, London is tough ... but this keeps happening. I don't think it's really enough for the London mayor to just go "Hey, we've never been safer." What [London] want[s] to know is how we can get these people before they commit these atrocities.
The whole video is good, but this one quote in particular stands out:
This seems to me utterly extraordinary that a bloke can appear on an ISIS TV show with a flag and no one does anything to stop him.
The fact that British officials have had prior knowledge regarding
responsible for recent events shows the UK's proactive war on terrorism is rather... lacking. Even after seeing his own people plowed into, stabbed, and blown into halal, bite-sized chunks - the Mayor's anti-terrorism policy is to FEEL safe and get over it, Islamophobes. Hence why Piers is calling him out on his crap here.
Of course, judging from the results of the UK Election, most of his countrymen probably think that Piers Morgan is the problematic one here. What with all that white privilege and anti-Islam talk.
