People Receiving Unemployment Benefits Drops to Record Lows
People surviving on their own, not forever suckling at the government teet, makes my heart sing ring-a-ding-ding. It's also always good news to hear of people working, earning money for their own selves, not relying on others to provide for them. It's a pride thing.
From The Washington Examiner:
The number of people receiving unemployment benefits is running at the lowest level in 44 years, the Department of Labor reported Thursday.
Altogether, 1.88 million people were receiving jobless benefits at the end of March. That was low enough to set the monthly average for such claims down to 1.85 million, the lowest such mark since January of 1974, when the total workforce was much smaller.
So when Democrat hell hounds say things like "The good economy only benefits the rich, Trump is Hitler, now let's make Trump's government bigger for the poor" they may as well burp the alphabet. A good economy helps everyone.
But it doesn't stop there:
As for new claims for unemployment benefits, they dropped by 9,000 to 233,000 in the first week of April, according to Thursday's report.
It looks as though the trend is continuing. More people with more jobs making the economy better than the day before. If Democrats and leftist keyboard ballerinas were really concerned with growing the economy (they're not) or helping the poor, then perhaps they should take note of recent economic developments:
