Washington Post Fact-Checks Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Anyone who's strong enough to endure an interview featuring
Alexa Ornithology-Cornhusk Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will tell you she's not exactly been blessed with a fully-functional brain. We can't seem to go more than a day or two without Alex making another mind-numbingly stupid remark.
Even the leftist Washington Post is calling bullhickey on her remarks:
The paper's fact-checker said one of her “eyebrow-raising claims” is when she said in an interview with “Pod Save America” on Aug. 7 that, “This upper middle class is probably more moderate but that upper middle class does not exist anymore in America.”
However, the Post noted that while the middle class has shrunk a little bit, the upper middle class has grown. In 1979, the upper middle class made up 12.9 percent of the population, but in 2014 it grew to 29.4 percent, according to a 2016 paper published by the Urban Institute.
The Post also dismissed her claims that ICE is required to fill 34,000 beds will illegal immigrant detainees every night, that "Medicare for all" would be cheaper than the current U.S. healthcare system, and her implication that buying an Obamacare health plan is akin to paying a tax.
It would seem even the fake news-pushers over at WaPo can't put a spin on that level of stupidity.
A leftist rag telling Ocasio-Cortez the dunce hat fits is quite telling. She's taking her dumbassery past the point of fake newsery being able to save her. I give you the future of the Democratic Party, folks.
Unfortunately for the left, they put all their eggs in the bug-eyed socialist loon's basket. Even going so far as parading her around the country with the Bern and making her a figurehead. Accidentally making her stupidity their stupidity. Too bad.
