Some of you read that headline and are saying to yourselves, "Wait, there's MORE antisemitism in New York City?"

On October 7th, Hamas launched a terrorist attack against Israel. Women were raped. Babies were murdered. People were dragged from their homes.

On October 8th, people in America started to show their support for Hamas doing so.

On October 9th, a NYC teacher held up a sign that said, "I Stand with Israel."

On November 21st, after students found the picture on Facebook, this happened:

Hundreds of Queens students (Queens voted 66% for Joe Biden in 2020), who are said to be "radicalized" as opposed to just being progressive Democrats, rioted for two hours over this teacher attending a pro-Israel rally two days after Israel was the victim of a terrorist attack. According to the New York Post, administrators and the NYPD caught wind of the students' plans just in time to rush the teacher into an office and lock the door. Because in 2023 NYC, they lock Jews in rooms for their own safety when the city isn't telling them to shelter in place.

“The teacher was seen holding a sign of Israel, like supporting it,” a shocked senior told The Post before further explaining, “A bunch of kids decided to make a group chat, expose her, talk about it, and then talk about starting a riot.”

Yelling, waving Palestine flags, chanting "from the River to the sea," and demanding the teacher be fired. It is unclear if any of the students can point to Gaza on a map, though roughly half of NYC students aren't proficient in learning things.

Mayor Eric Adams issued a statement blasting what happened while claiming NYC is "better than this." Critics will argue this is another example that no, the city is not, in fact, "better than this."

Conspicuous in her silence is social media influencer Rep. AOC. In her side hustle as a member of Congress, Rep. AOC represents parts of Queens. And she usually can't shut up when it involves Israel.

The teacher, whose identity is being withheld for what at this point should be obviously reasons, issued a statement:

I have been a teacher for 23 years in the New York City public school system — for the last seven at Hillcrest High School. I have worked hard to be supportive of our entire student body and an advocate for our community, and was shaken to my core by the calls to violence against me that occurred online and outside my classroom last week.

According to one senior, they found out where she lives.
