For quite some time now, it seems as if Democratic Governors keep competing with each other as they vie for the top spot of being the worst state leader in the country. New York Governor Kathy Hochul has been leading among several other incompetent Governors for the past several months. And just when you think she can’t possibly do any more damage, she whips out her sleeves and announces a not-so-surprising new initiative that will waste money that is not hers and create more division.

According to the National Review:

“Governor Kathy Hochul (D., N.Y.) on Tuesday signed a bill that empowers a statewide task force in New York to consider racial reparations for black New Yorkers whose ancestors were once enslaved in the U.S.

Following California’s lead, New York is now the second state to authorize a commission that will examine whether any reparations should be made for the nation’s history of slavery and racism. A nine-member task force appointed by Hochul and the state legislature will recommend ways New York can redress past discrimination, which can then be enacted by state lawmakers.

‘I know the word ‘reparations’ brings up a lot of conflicting ideas for people,’ Hochul said Tuesday before signing the bill. ‘A lot of people instinctively dig in when they hear it, without really thinking about what it means or why we need to talk about it.’

‘Today, I challenge all New Yorkers to be patriots and rebuke — and not excuse — our role in benefiting from the institution of slavery,’ she added.”

Everyone reading this already knows how we don’t convict people for ancestral crimes because it is not only evil but lacks all forms of logic. On top of this, it is impossible to name any civilization that did not utilize slavery. That does not make it any less evil, but the left constantly pretends it was only Western Civilization that used such a system. But in fact, it was Western Civilization that ENDED slavery. Western civilization did not create slavery, but it led the movement to end it.

Just think about how stupid this concept is. Take money from people who did not commit the crime, to give it to people who did not fall victim to the crime. On top of that, the crime has been outlawed for over 150 years.

It is extremely ignorant to blame income gaps on race or slavery, to say the least. To blame something that did not happen to you on your struggles today is a bit of a stretch, if you ask me.

Real question: Will people like 50 Cent and Jay-Z, who are from New York, get reparations?
