Could there be a correlation between France's strict gun laws...and the fact they keep getting hit by terror attacks? I'm intrigued by Newt Gingrich's ideas, and wish to subscribe to his newsletter...

"France has very strict gun laws, except for terrorists, who seem to always be able to get guns."

We could say the same for anywhere with strict gun control, where law-abiding citizens surrender their weapons (since it's the law), but criminals (who by definition break the laws) always seem to get their grubby hands on the boom-boom sticks. This isn't a revolutionary idea, and there seems to be a pattern in places like France (or California). Terrorists, who are criminals make no mistake, get guns. The citizens have none. An expression describing certain water fowl lounging, comes to mind.

To be clear, though the recent terror attack in Paris was against a cop, they haven't always been. Remember the massacre in Paris where guns and bombs were employed?
