Uber Driver Rants at Uber CEO, Demands Higher Prices. CEO Schools Him in Business...
Leftists love to hate Uber. Well ride sharing as a whole (see Leftist Celebrities Demand You #DeleteUber For Not Protesting Trump and Hillary Clinton Now Attacking Uber, ‘Sharing Economy’ and Small Businesses). We'll get into the why later. Today, leftists are celebrating this Uber Driver, Fawzi Kamel, yelling at the Uber CEO Travis Kalanick during a pick-up. Kamel is an Uber Black driver, their high-end cars...
Yeah, so slow down, son. Wait a second before you start singing John Lennon's "Working Class Hero" for this driver. Listen to these three quotes from his rant:
"You have the business model in your hand! You could have picked the prices you want!"
Basically, this new champion for the middle class wants price controls. He wants to gouge people for no other reason than he wants more money for himself. So he's blaming the CEO of Uber for not charging customers more. Hold tight to that theme, it's reoccurring.
"Instead you decide to buy everyone a ride!"
Ah, so only the wealthy people who can afford it should get rides? How working classy of you. The driver also disregards Uber X drivers (and their customers) who'd prefer not to pay fat stacks to get from A to Z. Sitting in the back of a Prius is fine by me, bro.
"We could go higher and more expensive!"
Right! Let's raise prices! Because middle class! Let's be JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER CAR SERVICE EVER, that'll do wonders for our business model. It's not like we have to worry about other car sharing services! Lyft who? Taxis? Nah. Buses? Perish the thought. If Uber raises prices, customers will glady pay up more money for no reason instead of going to a competitor.
Look, we try to avoid sarcasm here, but sometimes we just can't.
The driver, Kamel, shall be crowned March's Liberal Hero for no other reason than he "shamed" a CEO. "Shamed" or "put to shame" will be the sentiment HuffPo runs for their touchy, feely feminist twitbots. Take bets.
Secondly, it would be ISLAMOPHOBIC not to make Kamel a hero. Two birds, one suicide bomb.
Big picture time, ladies and wannabe ladies: leftists understand business like rabid feminists understand common decency. A leftist just figures, "Hey, this guy is yelling at a CEO! Someone make a hashtag!" believing that yeller is sticking up for "the little guy" by demanding a CEO gouge customers? I wish leftists would dedicate just two iotas of thought to how they treat businesses. Just two.
Fact is, Uber has given many people jobs. People who can use their cars to make money, in their own time, setting their own hours. Uber has enabled many customers to ditch their cars for easier living, translating to more cash in their wallets. In short, Uber has allowed independence and freedom to both consumers and drivers.
Independence and freedom? That's why the left hates Uber. Which should come as no surprise considering who the left worships...
