Netanyahu Surprises CBS News with the Truth About Hamas Protests
Ah the Hamas protests which aren't really protests. You may be tired of hearing the media spin this story. Specifically, the "protesters" who have been killed by Israel defending its border. Media lying about Israel is like Pelosi scheduling her next face stretch. Routine. As is media ignoring who the actual bad guys are (see Okay Leftists. Stop Equating 'Meanness' with Moral Wrongs and Iranian Group Offers $100,000 to Blow Up Jerusalem Embassy).
That's why it's always enjoyable watching Netanyahu whipping out the truth to bitchslap reporters.
They're pushing civilians, women, children into the line of fire with the view of getting casualties. We try to minimize casualties. They're trying to incur casualties in order to put pressure on Israel, which is horrible.
Plus, let's say Israel didn't fight back. Hamas broke through and killed Jewish men, women, and children. The same media wouldn't be attacking them for it. They'd be asking BOTH SIDES to show restraint.
CBS NEWS: Did your army go too far?
NETANYAHU: I don't know if any army would do anything differently if you had to protect your border against people who say, ‘we're going to destroy you and we're going to flood into your country. You try other means. You try all sorts of means. You try non-lethal means, and they don't work, so you're left with bad choices. It's a bad deal.
That's why it's so maddening when the press does Hamas' work for them.
CBS NEWS: Do you see yourself under any circumstance talking to Hamas?
NETANYAHU: As long as they seek our destruction, what am I going to talk about? I mean, if somebody said, 'Could you talk to Al Qaeda, would you have discussions with bin Laden?' About what?
Israel has a real knack for defending itself. This has the press soiling in their Depends. A country as small and as successful as Israel shouldn't be allowed to excel in economics, Nobel prizes, or national defense when the nations surrounding it are still trying to master the wheel. Slight exaggeration. But that's how media sees the Middle East. Israel as the oppressor because they're better than the "victims" in the surrounding countries. So anytime Israel opens a can of whoop-ass on the people who want to destroy it, suddenly the media has to intervene.
Incidentally, if CBS News could ask Al Qaeda about anything, it would probably be about Stormy Daniels.
