Nancy Pelosi Releases a Statement Trying to Downplay the Memo...
Everybody's favorite left-wing reanimated corpse, Nancy Pelosi, is at it again. Nance is overworking her single brain cell to direct as much attention away from the Nunes memo as possible. Because it's going to be hard to nail Trump over his non-existent Russian collusion if nobody trusts the FBI anymore.
Here's The Cryptkeeper's Pelosi's latest statement on the matter:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Friday that President Donald Trump’s decision to release a controversial memo about potential abuses of surveillance law was a “bouquet” for “his friend Putin.”Pelosi said the memo, authored by California Rep. Devin Nunes and other House Republicans, was nothing more than a “cynical attempt” to discredit the intelligence community and distract from an ongoing investigation into the Trump campaign.
“Nunes’ partisan spin memo distorts highly classified intelligence in a cynical attempt to discredit our national intelligence and law enforcement agencies and the Special Counsel investigation,” the California Democrat said, referring to the investigation by former FBI Director Robert Mueller into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
With all due disrespect for Nancy's statement, if the accusations are to be believed, the FBI has already done a terrific job of discrediting themselves. If the G-men in the FBI are unable to put aside their biases, they're not going to be able to give the Donald a fair hearing. Which is the whole point.
Since when is the FBI off-limits from criticism? Ever since the memo surfaced, leftists have been claiming any criticism of a government office is a mortal sin. Meanwhile, they're still blabbering on about ousting Dick Nixon and his giant schnoz almost fifty years later. I suppose getting to the bottom of things only matters when it benefits the left.
We'll see where these allegations go. This could be the start of something big. Or, the furor could fizzle out fast. Much like Kevin Spacey's career. But, with the smorgasbord of leftist overreactions, one thing's for sure. Leftists are afraid.
