MSNBC Mistakes Gunshots for Someone Opening a Can of Soda
MSNBC has some of the dumbest anti-gun takes (see MSNBC Panel Pulls Race Card on Pro-Gun People, Looks Forward to Them Dying and [Video] MSNBC Reporter Goes Off on Gun Silencers. Makes Herself Look Like an Idiot…). Nicole Wallace seemed on her way to making a hot take of her own. When suddenly, GUNSHOTS!
MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace mistakes someone opening a can of soda for gunshots. https://t.co/8ZSVIUt0iN— Ryan Saavedra (@Ryan Saavedra) 1522810902.0
Sounds less like gunshots to me, more like someone opening a can of soda at their desk. Also, it's soda and not pop. Change my mind.
This is why most of us LOL when people in the media talk about guns. You should be able to tell the difference between gunshots and someone taking a Diet Coke break.
I'd be willing to discount it as live coverage. They were discussing the YouTube shooting yesterday. The news was coming in quickly. Five minutes later, other news was coming in. Claiming the news before it was hooey. Anyone who has talked live for a decent amount of time knows mistakes happen.
So I'd be willing to give Wallace the benefit of the doubt, had MSNBC not turned into a glorified anti-gun superPAC the past few months. Learn the difference between the sound a gun makes and the sound a can of Diet Mr. Pibb makes before you lecture the rest of us on how much you know about guns.
