Young people are politically active and they care about things. Also they like to YELL about those things. Thus their interests come as no surprise. We all know they care about climate change, inequality, socialism; the standard tenets of social justice warriorism. But this new survey shows us which issue young folks rank as most important. Brace yourself, Millennial passion incoming.
Young people consider climate change to be the world’s most serious issue, according to the World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Shaper Survey of more than 31,000 millennials from 186 countries and territories.
Close to half (48.8 percent) of those surveyed chose “climate change/destruction of nature” as their No. 1 concern. This is the third year in a row that 18-to-35-year-olds declared the issue as their biggest global concern.
The vast majority of survey participants also agreed about what causes climate change – 91 percent answered “agree” and “strongly agree” with the statement “science has proven that humans are responsible for climate change.”
Climate change being entirely man-made is a man-made myth (see Chesapeake Bay Mayor Smacks Down Al Gore on Global Warming With One Question and Climate Expert: “Global Warming is Far from ‘Settled Science’…”). But when it comes to statistics and facts, Millennial leftists tend to care not so much. Hence their love for socialism and voting patterns. And seeming inability to keep a job. Or understand basic responsibilities.
Before any Millennials get their panties in a twist, obviously we know there are still young conservatives fighting against leftism. Like the kids over at Campus Reform. Still, the numbers show a large majority of the youth are drawn to the typical politically correct sewage being peddled by the left. This obsession paired with a blatant disregard of actual issues isn’t exactly promising, when added to the fact that many youngsters hate capitalism and freedom. These are our future generations. This is how a Bernie presidency happens. See you at the back of the breadline!
