The Truth About Mike Huckabee's 'Marching Jews Into the Oven' Remark...
I can understand the desire to cut through the Donald Trump primary, and the urge to say something outrageous to do so. Well, it seems like Governor Mike Huckabee caught that bug. While he isn't completely wrong, it definitely looks like there'll be hell to pay for the statement.
“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history. It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians."
Agreed. Good quote.
"By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven. This is the most idiotic thing, this Iran deal. It should be rejected by both Democrats and Republicans in Congress and by the American people. I read the whole deal. We gave away the whole store. It’s got to be stopped.”
Alright, this one's a tough one. I get that the Mahmoud has openly expressed his desire for a total annihilation of Israel. Like, for real. That's about as warranting of a holocaust comparison as anything I can think of. Certainly moreso than say, a higher corporate tax. That being, said, this seems like this may just more of a "headline-grabber" in an attempt to wade through the Trump-dominated media. It just seems a little out of character for Huckabee, and has us scratching our heads.
The Iran deal needs to be stopped and there is already growing bipartisan agreement to stop it. This attempt from Huckabee to draw attention to his Presidential campaign will probably make things harder, because this is going to be all that the media is talking about.
He knew this would be all the media would be talking about, because they're predictable and have no self respect. It's why he made the statement in the first place.
Maybe he has a little "Donald" in him after all.
