#MarchForOurLives Fail: Interest in NRA Membership Actually Surged

Courtney Kirchoff
March 26, 2018

On Saturday, there was a heavily sponsored march against the Second Amendment called "Gun Control Kidz Incorporated." It was the internal name. We're choosing to mock these precious babes because we've been down this road before. We've been to the raves. We've bought the t-shirts. Held back the protestors' hair as they vomited talking points. As this story about the NRA shows, gun-grabbing leftists are unwittingly the best advocates for gun rights in America (see #MarchForOurLives Speaker Admits True Gun Control Plans and Top 5 Idiotic Moments From 'March for Our Lives' Gun Control Rally). If we doled out awards ala Planned Parenthood, the 2018 Gun Salesman of the Year would go David Hogg. We'd give him a clear backpack with a plaque inside. Shaped like a tampon.

From the Daily Caller:

According to Google’s explanation of the numbers to the left of the chart, they “represent search interest relative to the highest point on the chart for the given region and time. A value of 100 is the peak popularity for the term. A value of 50 means that the term is half as popular. A score of 0 means there was not enough data for this term.”

In other words, Saturday’s “March For Our Lives” demonstration rocketed interest in NRA membership to “peak popularity.”

I think it was Isaac Newton who said: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." In modern parlance, we might rewrite that rule as "For every leftist utterance to come cascading from a blue-haired manatee with the mental acuity of a plastic banana, there's an equal and opposite reaction from people who won't have their lives dictated to them by morons with the mental acuity of plastic bananas." Though Isaac's way is more succinct.

If a marching group of cotton-headed ninny muggins threatens to take away people's right to self-defense, there's a renewed interest to protect those rights from those ninnies. Really, it's science. More reliable than climate. Gender. Or the odds of leftists demanding they lose more rights.

We go through this every time. Including the media telling us, "it just feels different this time." No, it doesn't. It just feels like leftists are exploiting tragedy to push an agenda. Exploiting minors to push their agenda. Adults haven't been able to get the pesky Second Amendment expunged for 250 years. Maybe the chitlins can succeed where mommy, daddy, gramma, and grandpappy have failed.

So basically it's just a case of the Mondays.
