None of us actually like paying our income taxes. With April 17th next week, many of us pick up a vat of Vaseline before heading to the accountant. Yes, we like driving on roads and having the po-po and military to protect us. Some of the other morally reprehensible things, not so much. Like tax dollars going toward Hoovering out the brain matter of unborn infants.

Michael Bowman feels the same way, and he's taking a stand.

An Oregon man who cites his Christian faith as a legal defense against the government in a felony tax evasion case has won the first round in court.

Michael Bowman told U.S. District Judge Michael W. Mosman on Thursday that that he is not a tax protester and considers himself a true patriot, but refuses to give a dime of his money if its allocated to fund government subsidized abortions.

Mosman noted in his ruling that prosecutors failed to prove Bowman tried to conceal or mislead the government by keeping a low bank account balance so tax collectors couldn't garnish his account to pay taxes, according to The Oregonian.

Well, it's nice to see the government having it stuck to them for a change. Right on!

Like most of us, Bowman's probably heard a lot of talk about defunding Planned Parenthood. Real action on defunding Planned Parenthood, not so much. So, understandably, he feels the need to take things into his own hands, and he's making progress. Fret not though, abortion loving dames. Just have the schamillionaire pro-abortion celebrities who treat baby-killing like a holy sacrament kick in their money.

Michael Bowman is the modern equivalent of a Boston Tea Partier. Unwilling to sit by idly while the government jacks his money to go toward infanticide, gay booze studies, and Argentinian clown schools. He's taking civil disobedience to the next level by refusing to pay income taxes and, for that, we salute him.
