It looks like the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues to have far-reaching effects. Babies are being displaced from hospitals as shells rain down atop cities. Joy Behar might have to cancel her vacation to Italy. And now Ukrainians are going to have to go without seeing Louis CK live in Kyiv!

I’m sure hearts are breaking all over the city. If things weren’t bad enough in Ukraine—what with the active invasion by Russian forces and all—now they can’t even get a few chuckles in.

It’s not as if the people of Ukraine don’t have enough to worry about. Then again, it seems as if they’ve been able to keep their own senses of humor even as Russian tanks roll down the road and Chechen battalions arm themselves at the border. I’ve never watched Louis CK myself, but I think I’d still rather hang out with some of these Ukrainians than spend an evening listening to Louis CK. But that’s just me.

You would think Louis CK might be willing to airdrop into a warzone to do his own solo USO-esque show for the Ukrainians. He can barely work in the United States after being canceled for his, how should we say, sexual proclivities. And he wasn’t nearly as lucky as Jeffrey Toobin, who managed to cling to his job over at CNN after exposing himself performing vigorous calisthenics on the job. But then, Toobin works for a network known for harboring perverts, so there’s that.

I guess Louis CK will just have to wait until after the conflict to visit Kyiv. That is unless Ukrainians are some avid Louder with Crowder dot com readers and choose not to have Louis CK after reading this post. Oh, man, wouldn’t that be a kick in the nards?
