Leftists Rage at GOP Candidate for Shoving Reporter. But Punching 'Nazis' is A-OK?!
Campaigns are all fun and games until someone gets body-slammed. Which is what this reporter learned the hard way, when he dared pester a Montana candidate with questions. Audio recording below.
Greg Gianforte, the Republican candidate in the Montana U.S. House special election, was cited for misdemeanor assault Wednesday evening after a national political reporter claimed he was "body slammed" by him.
"Greg Gianforte just body slammed me and broke my glasses," reporter Ben Jacobs wrote on Twitter. Jacobs works out of Washington, D.C., for the Guardian.
Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin said in a release that his office had completed an investigation of the incident and determined there was probable cause to cite Gianforte. The sheriff's department said in its statement that Jacobs' injuries did not meet the legal definition of felony assault.
Ben Jacobs was being pushy with his questions. But it's Gianforte who made the big booboo here. Sure, maybe he was hangry and in dire need of a Snickers. We've all been there. Or maybe he's just always a huge bag of douche-like materials. I never met the guy. Regardless of his station and the letters following his name, there's a metric crap ton of evidence stacked against Greg Gianforte. Like actual evidence. Not "BuzzFeed's sister's best friend's uncle got this Russian report from anonymous sources" evidence. Between the audio file and numerous eyewitnesses, the kerfuffle sounds more like assault than a bear hug.
So, of course, in the most predictable fashion, we have leftists lined up, chomping at the bit to say their piece against "the violence of the GOP."

Spare us the false concern for kids, Nancy. Some things aren't easy to explain to children. Like why the crypt keeper incarnate is currently sitting as the Minority Leader of the House and wants to flush unwanted babies down the septic. For example.
The hypocrisy gets even worse...
Republican Greg Gianforte reflects the MODUS OPERANDI of the GOP. Their leader Trump, applies the same method to advance his cause.THUGGERY!— Voice of Reason (@Voice of Reason) 1495716262.0
We're now a country where folks excuse treason & assault so long as the right letter follows a name. We are broken. #Gianforte #MontanaGOP— Joe Watson (@Joe Watson) 1495713355.0

Here's the thing -- as mentioned above, Greg "Grab You By Your Neck" Gianforte is in the wrong... But there's a glaring contradiction in the left's reaction to all this. While they clearly denounce this chap for getting handsy with an annoying reporter, this is the same party who encourages SJWs to run about punching "Nazis." Which is code for anyone they disagree with (see College Socialists Have Started a Fight Club... To Battle 'Fascists' and Obama Defends Violent Anti-Trump Protesters: "Do not be silent...").
So to the liberals raging against Gianforte: you're either for or against political violence. Dropkicking a journalist isn't okay, much like punching those who disagree with you in the face, or lighting your opponents on fire, is not okay. You don't get to pick and choose. This isn't a Hometown gender buffet.
Speaking of violence...
