Easter is almost upon us. Most people are making preparations for their egg hunt or psyching themselves up to celebrate Big Jeezy’s rise from the tomb. Leftists, on the other hand, are using the story of the resurrection to push a radical feminist narrative. I’m not even surprised.
The men refused to listen to her story. She was publicly smeared as a whore. And when she emerged as a celebrated advocate, powerful men tried to silence her because she threatened their status.
Nevertheless she persisted.
The woman we’re talking about, though, is not a leader in the #MeToo movement — the viral campaign raising awareness about sexual assault and harassment against women. She is Mary Magdalene, the first person Jesus appeared to after his resurrection, according to the New Testament, and the first person to preach the good news that he had been raised from the dead.
For billions of Christians around the world, Easter Sunday is a celebration of a risen savior. Yet what happened to Mary Magdalene shows that Easter can also be seen as something else — a #MeToo moment, some pastors and biblical scholars say.
So, what this CNN dunce is saying is the Bible is one big feminist treatise. The likes of which trump every septum-pierced feminist warthog rant in existence. Makes sense, right?
I’m sure Jesus, like every other decent person in the history of ever, frowned upon sexual assault. However, I’ve yet to ever see a passage where he complains about women making 77 cents to a man’s dollar. Or marches in the streets for “reproductive rights.” Or attends a period blood art class.
I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on the Bible but, I’m fairly certain the Good Book frowns upon killing babies, stealing other people’s money, and shirking all human decency. If those things are your bag, I doubt the Gospels are the books for you.
Leftists are constantly trying to appropriate history and religion to suit their own selfish needs. A quick read through the Gospels quickly proves their claims to be bullhickey. Nevertheless, they continue asserting Jesus was a gay, trans, black, feminist commie.
