Jon Stewart Eviscerates the New York Times In Defense of... Marco Rubio?!
Jon Stewart is the most trusted name in news... for people under the age of knowing the difference between journalism and stand up comedians who share their political opinion. That's not to say he doesn't make a point on occasion, and it's worth pointing out when he does if only to amplify when he get it right. Plus, it's usually pretty damn funny.
Last night, he tackled the stunning journalistic integrity coming out of the New York Times lately concerning Marco Rubio. The video's worth a watch.
“Yeah sure, it’s a game, it’s a f***ing game. What’s The New York Times gonna do, exercise editorial control? No. It’s like their motto says, ‘Don’t hate the paper... hate the game.'”
He explained the issue, pointed out how ridiculous it was, and effectively mocked the people who reported it in the first place. This is how you win hearts and minds. Conservatives should take note, instead of go, "GRR! Jon LEIBOWITIZ is a liberal! Rackle rackle!"
So as the far left media and the allegedly not liberal media try to make an issue out of this, it kind of makes you think that people who consider Jon Stewart the most trusted name in news may have a point.
... I think I just threw up a little.
