The tragedy in Las Vegas caused an outpouring of sorrow from pretty much everyone in America. Meanwhile, leftists are responding in as predictably douchey a fashion as you would expect. By using the tragedy to push their gun control agenda.
Legislation to set a mandatory three-day waiting period for handgun transfers and establish licensing and registration guidelines on the sale of binary target markers have been introduced.
The bills — HR.4018 and HR.4064 — were introduced by House Democrats last week and join a growing number of gun control proposals filed in the days immediately after a mass shooting in Las Vegas that left 59 dead.
U.S. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., debuted his handgun waiting period bill Thursday to mandate that three business days elapse from the time a handgun transfer was initiated between a federal firearms licensed dealer and an individual. Limited exceptions would be allowed for loans of less than 30 days between immediate family members.
Ah, I see what you guys are doing there.
How many lives in Las Vegas would either of those bills saved? Not a gosh-darned one, amigo. The whacked-out douchelord who capped all those country fans used rifles, plotted his murder spree in advance, and left the Tannerite at his casa. These proposed bills wouldn’t have even fazed him.
Which begs the question, why are Democrats pushing these bills in the wake of Las Vegas. I’ll tell you why. It’s because they’re opportunistic scum-buckets who don’t want to waste a chance to further their gun control agenda. Or to push their box office bomb of a movie about gun control.
Any shot at circumventing the Second Amendment and the left will take it. They can’t rest easy knowing law-abiding Americans are successfully protecting themselves and their families with the boomsticks.
Leftists know their gun control agenda would flounder in normal circumstances. So, they’re hoping the images of bodies in Vegas will make us more receptive to their trickery. But, unfortunately for them, we’re smart enough to see through their deception and myths.
