Joy Villa Reports Trump Campaign Manager for Sexual Assault

Kacie Burnett
December 27, 2017

You may recall Joy Villa from making waves last year with her billowing MAGA dress. You also may recall Corey Lewandowski from being Trump's campaign manager. Or just being a big ole bag'o'douche. According to Joy, Corey really upped the doucheness by letting his unwanted hands wander into unwelcoming places. Repeatedly. Allegedly.

So she's going to the police. Here's the scoop:

[Joy Villa] said Tuesday that she has filed a sexual assault complaint against President Donald Trump's former campaign manager for hitting her twice on her buttocks during a Washington gathering in November.

Joy Villa, a Trump backer ... said she plans to meet with detective in Washington next week about the complaint against Corey Lewandowski.

She said she saw him at a gathering at the Trump International Hotel on the day after Thanksgiving, and said Lewandowski struck her “extremely hard” even after she told him to stop. She said she felt it was “disgusting and shocking and demeaning.”

Villa, who is considering a run for a Florida congressional seat, said she initially thought it was sexual harassment, but police told her that touching someone on any body part that is sexual in nature constituted sexual assault. She said she was told it was classified as a misdemeanor.

“I was initially fearful to come forward with this,” she said, adding that she did not want to bring shame or embarrassment on Lewandowski’s family or hers.

Now before anyone gets their MAGA hats in a twist, Joy Villa is still very much pro-Trump and pro-America. She just isn't taking crap from Mr. Grabby Hands.

Time, and a thorough investigation, will tell if her claims are true. But this isn't your basic #MeToo social media act of "justice." It's the real deal. Joy actually went to the police with her report rather than indulging in lip flappage beforehand. Apparently she even initially stayed quiet about the event. It wasn't until a friend who witnessed it take place spoke about it publicly that she came forward.

It's also important to note an unfortunate reality within the conservative movement. One wherein certain folks have been quick to toss out any accusations against certain politicians simply because said politicians boast an (R) after their name. Cough cough Roy Moore's Defeat Shows Tribalism is the Problem, not the Solution.

There has also been some anger regarding Joy's religion of choice. Of course, her religion has zero to do with a jerk grabbing her. Seems like an obvious statement, but it bears repeating in 2017. So let's just nip this in the non-consenting bud right now. Regardless of whether someone is a baptized Christian or prays to a sacred sack of horse crap, sexual assault isn't okay. Not even when the alleged assaulter once worked for the dude whose posterior shines the chair in the Oval Office.
