Another day, another shockingly idiotic statement from the ladies over at The View. We just can't catch a break, can we?

This time, the ladies were discussing the crisis in East Palestine, Ohio, and you'll never guess who they blamed for it. Not Pete Buttigieg or Joe Biden. Not even Norfolk Southern. No, they blamed the Orange Man himself.

That's right, somehow this whole fiasco is Donald J. Trump's fault. Even though he hasn't been President for 25 months. He's apparently just that powerful.

Joy Behar kicked off the discussion by shaming the residents of East Palestine for voting for Donald Trump. Because I'm sure that's what these folks are concerned with, as they drink rainbow-colored water and develop chemical burns and rashes. "Sure, this is bad. But how does Trump fit into all of this?"

Behar seemed to suggest that the residents of East Palestine got what they voted for, saying, “That’s who you voted for, in that district. Donald Trump, who reduces all safety. He did, in those days.” This was such a bad take, even the audience audibly groaned. Sunny Hostin then boldly stated, "I think this is Donald Trump's fault."

So I guess we can add train derailments to the growing list of evils Trump is somehow responsible for. It is truly remarkable that, even though he's no longer President, he's so deeply embedded into these people's brains. They just can't stop talking about him. It's like a mind virus. A very orange, snarky mind virus.

They're also probably a little desperate to find a boogeyman to distract from Biden's surprise visit to Ukraine amidst the disaster, and FEMA denying emergency assistance to East Palestine. As a rule of thumb, it's typically better for a President to be in the country during a time of crisis, and not overseas, pledging billions of taxpayers' dollars to foreign countries. Biden Admin, take notes.
