Jim Carrey Wants America to 'Say Yes' to Socialism
Once upon a time, Jim Carrey was relevant in the comedic realm. Alas, the 90s are long past. Seeing as there isn't an Ace Ventura reboot in the pipeline, Jimbo's taken up a new mantle. That of a leftist wing-nut extraordinaire.
Take this for example. Jimmy made an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher and shook his pom-poms for socialism:
Maher: I've always said that the United States has been a quasi-socialist country for one hundred years, for crying out loud.Carrey: There's plenty of subsidies for oil companies.
Maher: And also Medicare, Social Security. Yes, of course. There's nothing more socialistic than some of the Pentagon programs that are just jobs programs. The Pentagon says "we don't want these tanks," and they build them anyway. If that's not socialism, I don't know what is. But, that word. The Democrats need to get a plan to fight this slander of socialism.
Carrey: We have to say yes to socialism. To the word and everything. We have to stop apologizing.
Well, it would seem as though Karl Marx is now occupying Jim's body, instead of Andy Kaufman. He's thrown sanity to the wind and gone off the socialist deep end. So sad.
I can't really say I'm too surprised about Jim's hard left pivot. He's been sharing his anti-Republican "Artwork" and attacking gun activists on the Twitters for quite some time now. Though, to his credit, Jim is staying true to his roots. Namely, talking out of his ass.
Ladies, gentlemen, and every non-binary hybrid creature in-between, the left is going full left. No more subtlety. They want to tip the scales of power in favor of the state. It's evil devil stuff, plain and simple.
Speaking of that:
