Jim Carey Tweets Attack at Female Student and Gun Activist
Attacking a student for their beliefs is usually when and where we'd start boycotting the attacker's sponsors (see Ace Hardware Resumes Advertising with Fox News and Laura Ingraham and Laura Ingraham’s Ratings Shoot Up Despite Leftist Boycott). Thankfully for Jim Carey, he doesn't seem to have any sponsors to boycott. Based on his recent behavior, this once A-lister may have gotten one of those vaccines with Mercury in it. And has since scrambled the remaining noodles. A normal celebrity would express their leftist worldview in movies. Or as a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Carey, lately, seems to be shacked up in an art studio somewhere. With watercolors. Laced with LSD and rabies.
His latest masterpiece (of poop) involved the Kent State graduate who posed with her AR-15.
Real talk. Reasonable people can argue that the original photo may have been trying too hard to grab attention. Strapping an AR-15 on your back just to own leftists on social media doesn't scream "responsible gun-owner" to me. It does scream "PLEASE MAKE THIS GO VIRAL, LOL!" Just my opinion. I know many of you in #MugClub disagree. While many of you are out there nodding your heads while pouring the beverage of your choice in a sweet mug.
But set aside those disagreements on attention vs. patriotism. It is creepyAF for a world-famous celebrity to attack a 20-ish year old. Publicly. Over a difference in political opinion. Imagine if Dean Cain created a photo mosaic of Emma Gonzalez pictures to make it look like the NRA logo. That's basically what Carey did. But it's ok, because to the media he has the "right" opinion on guns.
Everyone on the right was told it was wrong to attack Hoggermeyerweiner even though the Hoggmaster was trying to smoke up the Second Amendment. But this young lady poses with her gun, and suddenly it's LOL, Jim Carey's the new Pablo Picasso. Is Carey free to throw paint at a canvas of someone who chose to make their photo public? Sure. Is it still creepyAF? Yes.
I always wondered if Jim Carey was dumb or dumber. Twenty-four years later, I finally have my answer.
