Video: Jamie Raskin Called Out by Katy Tur for Trying to Remove Trump From Office
Leftists' new strategy for 2018 seems to be proving Trump to be a giant basket case. Progressive politicians like human Brillo Pad, Jamie Raskin, are jumping on that bandwagon and demanding a psych evaluation of the orange one. Proving there's no low to which the left won't stoop to oust the Donald.
Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin (Md.) appeared on MSNBC on Monday to talk about a bill he proposed that would establish a commission to determine whether the president is fit for office.
Raskin denied the bill had to do with President Donald Trump, even though Raskin has called for his impeachment before.
"It's not a body devoted to looking at Donald Trump's fitness for office," Raskin said.
MSNBC anchor Katy Tur had a follow-up, however.
"Here's the thing, congressman. You want to impeach this president. You've said so," Tur said.
"No, I haven't—when did I say that?" Raskin asked, clearly flustered.
"You've said you wanted to impeach the president," Tur reiterated before reading off examples.
Katy's right. Jamie Raskin has floated the idea of giving Trump the boot before. On his first day in office, in fact. It sounds to me like little Jamie has a personal beef against Trump, instead of real concerns about his mental health.
Leftist sympathizers might call this scrutiny of the Trump's cognitive functions "a genuine concern for the well-being of our most precious union." The rest of us see it for what it really is. A bunch of opportunistic slimeballs trying to tell Trump "you're fired," however they can.
All these dirty tricks just go to show the left has no alternative to offer. Rather than put forward superior policies, they'll keep digging for dirt and trying to send Trump to a padded room. Sad.
