Jake Tapper Questions Bernie Sanders on Single Payer. He Can't Answer...
On CNN, this past weekend, Jake Tapper challenged Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders on the reality of single payer. It was quite the spectacle. I'll let you guess how it turned out for the ole curmudgeon.
TAPPER: It was attempted in your homes state of Vermont, and it didn’t work because they couldn’t get the funding, because it would be too expensive, the Democratic governor said. And then recently, it failed in California as well. Democrats again, not able to come up with a way to pay for it. These are cobalt blue states, Vermont and California, where people wanted single-payer, and there were problems because it would cost too much. How do you make it national if you can’t even get it in Vermont and California?
BERNIE: Well it’s not a — no, no, no, no. Let’s — Jake — let’s be, let’s be careful about this. A single-payer health care system, in my view, and according to studies that I have seen, would save the average family significant sums of money.
In other words, stop asking questions, JAKE! Pesky Tapper at it again (see Jake Tapper Asks Dem Congressman About Harmful Leftist Rhetoric).
By the way, notice the vague, unsourced "studies" Bernie cites here? I'd like to take a peek at those. Under single payer, the trade off from any alleged healthcare savings is that you can't get the service or care you want. Because when you look at single payer in actual practice (see Single Payer Healthcare BANNED Obese Patients from Surgery and Doctor Advises Mother to Choose Assisted Suicide. IN FRONT OF Sick Daughter), that seems to be what happens every time. Just listen to what leftists have to say about it during those rare moments you catch them being honest.
The Bernster can't even answer another progressive on the facts of his plan. Surprise! It's because he has no plan. Socialists are eager to implement single payer but have no thoughts on how to make the transition successful. Such rationalism goes against their mantra of giving "free" stuff first and finding a way for the taxpayer to foot the bill later.
Since we're on the subject of Bernie, peep the video below.
