HuffPo Claims There's a Conspiracy to Deprive Black People From Owning Guns
Remember how owning a gun was a problem for the left? Of course, you do. Piers Morgon, Moms Against Guns, Michael Moore. That Facebook friend you just can't stand. All ringing a spinning target. Bear the left's hatred of guns in mind for this, because HuffPo recently ran a piece on black gun owners. Claiming there's a racist effort to deprive them of their right to pack heat. HuffPo. Worried about gun rights.
You're entering the Twilight Zone:
HuffPost spoke to 11 black gun owners about their reasons for owning a firearm. Trump was a non-factor. Instead, they talked about wanting to protect themselves out of fear that no one else would. They talked about their anxieties during interactions with the police and their complex views on gun regulation. Where gun advocates often adduce the imaginary heroics of a hypothetical active-shooter scenario to their arguments, the black gun owners we talked to referred to specific incidents, specific provocations — as if redlined, too, out of the fantasyland of American gun culture. And most of them returned to a sentiment as old as the nation itself: that owning firearms is a rebellion against a system bent on keeping them out of the hands of black folks.
Suddenly leftist HuffPo is concerned about gun rights. Cute.
Which "racists" are trying to yank guns from Afro-Americans' cold, dead melanin-rich hands? Seems if anybody is on a quest to deprive gun owners of their right to bear arms, it's not the MAGA crowd. Yet Democrats are constantly trying to put extra requirements and restrictions on the scary black rifles. Tell me there's not a racial component there, either.
Lemme pull out the giant point: suddenly there's concern of a government (police) oppressing people (black people, in this case). And voila, HuffPo believes those people (black people) should have access to firearms to protect themselves from the government (police). A late-breaking Christmas miracle.
Yeah, HuffPo. Kind of the point of guns. For the people to protect themselves from the government. Or a jackass trying to rob or rape them. A distinction which is hard to make come April 15th.
A leftist rag agreeing gun rights are a good thing. Something to tell the grandkids.
