I’m not personally as anti-CNN as some of my colleagues on the right understandably are. But we all agree Jim Acosta and Brian Stetler are the Wonder Douche Twins of fake news (see AUDIO Captures CNN’s James Acosta Explaining Why He’s a Douche and Ben Shapiro Blasts CNN’s Anti-Gun Agenda ON CNN). We already had fun with Acosta today. Here’s Frank Luntz to slap around Stetler.
I’ll give you a free idea, so I’m not just attacking without solutions:
Cancel your show, and replace it with a Heartland news show covering issues affecting people outside of the Beltway and Blue Checkmark Twitter
You can call it “First-Hand Accounts.”https://t.co/yzySC3dWk9

Snark aside, Luntz’s idea for a show actually is brilliant. When people like Stetler claim that everyone hates Trump, it’s based on polls from the same bubble from which CNN pinches all the loaves. Let’s say CNN left DC or New York. Traveled to a flyover state. If people hated Donald Trump as much as the polls say, it wouldn’t be hard to find actual voters to talk to about why they hate Trump. Emphasis on REAL voters. Not just people who walked out of #RESIST central casting.
I say all this as someone who views Trump’s unhinged tweets as a reason why I’d struggle with voting for him in 2020. I also realize I’m in the minority. Because I leave my house once in a while. Talk to real people. What doesn’t come up regardless of if they hate Trump or not? That day’s collection of tweets. Because, blessedly, not everyone lives and dies by what happens on Twitter.
If people like Brian Stetler left the studio once in a while, his news coverage wouldn’t suck as hard as the mug he calls a face. If my dog was as ugly as Brian Stelter, I’d shave its butt and make it walk backwards.
