Fired Google Engineer is Lawyering Up to Sue Google?!

Courtney Kirchoff
August 08, 2017

So the "anti-diversity" memogatepaloozagazi rolls on (see Google Employee Writes Reasonable Anti-SJW Memo. Outraged Leftists Call for His Head... and Google Fires Employee Who Penned Diversity Critical Memo). Now James Damore, the Google Engineer at the center of the controversial memo most people didn't actually read (but reacted to hysterically), is doing what anyone who was wrongfully terminated would do.

Lawyering up. Hoo-rah.

He said in his memo that he had written it in the hope of having an “honest discussion” about how the company had an intolerance for ideologies that do not fit into what he believed were its left-leaning biases.

Mr. Damore, who worked on infrastructure for Google’s search product, said he believed that the company’s actions were illegal and that he would “likely be pursuing legal action.”

“I have a legal right to express my concerns about the terms and conditions of my working environment and to bring up potentially illegal behavior, which is what my document does,” Mr. Damore said. Mr. Pichai’s memo was reported earlier by Recode, and Bloomberg confirmed Mr. Damore’s dismissal.

Before being fired, Mr. Damore said, he had submitted a complaint to the National Labor Relations Board claiming that Google’s upper management was “misrepresenting and shaming me in order to silence my complaints.” He added that it was “illegal to retaliate” against an N.L.R.B. charge.

Google Michael Jackson eating popcorn .gif (pronounced with a hard "g"), because this could turn into a veeeeeeery interesting and important lawsuit it it comes to pass.

Here, did it for you.

Essentially we have a concerned employee trying to solve a problem. He did so with nothing but reason, and even had research (which Gizmodo conveniently omitted from their publication) to support his assertions. You can read the full memo, with graphs, charts and links, here. But the left cannot tolerate dissension within their ranks. So before anyone else read the actual memo in its entirety, the leftist media, Google, and mentally challenged but emotionally charged snark weasels sounded the OMG HATE SPEECH alarm.

Google's reaction to this memo is but a microcosm of our cultural state. If anyone dares question a leftist tenet, that person is ostracized, branded as a hatful racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, then shunned from modern society. Thereby discouraging anyone else from daring to question the leftist agenda.

We shall not comply.
