You could safely say Hollywood is the world capitol of leftist malarkey. It's a town full of virtue-signaling elitist progressives who inject their politics and their signature "values" into every project that comes their way (read Actor/Idiot T.J. Miller Admits Hollywood Should Push Progressivism on Kids). They also blame Trump when their comedies flop.

But, all of that leftist silliness still isn't enough for female directors. They're angry about not nailing down enough jobs, so they're demanding quotas to improve their odds. Yes, really.

“I never want to be hired because I’m a woman director, but maybe at this moment there needs to be quotas.”

Those two things are literally a contradiction of each other.

“If that’s what it takes, then that’s what it takes,” added Rachel Goldberg, one of seven directors on the panel.

“Quotas are necessary so women can get that first job, and also to change the culture,” so that people get used to seeing women directors, said panelist Meera Menon, who just finished shooting an episode of “Snowfall,” a TV mini-series about the crack epidemic in Los Angeles.

Here’s a shocker. Those studios in Hollywood? They're businesses. They only have two jobs. Producing quality entertainment and making copious amounts of ducats. Forcing them to choose a director for their genitals over their abilities isn’t a viable strategy. In the end, both parties wind up unemployed.

These broads are quick to pull the sexism card. But, this is Hollywood we’re talking about. They’re hardly a bastion for right-wing, patriarchal, heteronormative cis-white male scum (read RACIST? Idiot Mark Ruffalo Threatens MSNBC to Stop Hiring ‘White Conservatives…’). Yet, the moment these gals get passed over for a gig, Tinseltown is a hotbed for sexism, racism, and every other “ism” in the book.

Leftists refuse to recognize merit as a thing. If their talents were up to snuff, studios would be begging to work with them. But, rather than expanding their skills and becoming masters of their craft, these female directors choose to sit in panels and plot on rigging the system in their favor. I guess working harder is just out of the question.

As the old leftist maxim goes, when in doubt, get the government involved.
