Corrections Officer Hit by Drunk Driver in New Jersey. Faces Criminal Charges for Carrying a Gun?!
I almost wish that Chris Christie was still in the Presidential race. I'd love to hear his excuses for this ridiculous anti-gun story that us coming out of New Jersey...
Not even law enforcement officers are safe from New Jersey's gun laws. Sgt. Ray Hughes, a corrections officer in Pennsylvania, was headed home after dinner with his wife in Atlantic City when they were hit by a drunk driver. Even though he was the victim, Hughes became a criminal — he's now facing a felony charge for bringing his gun into NJ. It's just the latest in a long string of miscarriages of justice that characterize the state's gun-control regime.
So to recap, Hughes - as a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - can legally carry a gun. He uses it in his day to day life as someone who guards actual criminals.
Hughes then gets hit by a drunk driver. Also known as a criminal who would/should be in prison for driving drunk.
HUGHES IS THE ONE who is being prosecuted because he had his legally owned gun - as a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - on him at the time a criminal struck him and his wife while driving drunk.
Times a thousand.
This doesn't reach the level of "woman murdered by her crazy ex-boyfriend… while awaiting her gun permit" levels, but what is it with Jersey? Never mind, let's not open that can of worms.
Yet despite the story of Hughes, despite the woman murdered by her ex while she waited for a permit, liberals promise us they're not out to take our guns. Nope, leftists are all about the "reasonable" gun measures we should all "get behind" if we're supposedly "compassionate" about the people.
You people who don't trust them because of what's happened to Hughes? Stop it. Obama knows best. How dare you question the liberal agenda. Also, you're a racist.
Before directing you to this awesome video, maybe you should first buy some ammo. You know, for the reasons.
