Canada To Require All Vehicle Sales Transition To EVs, Claim It Will Reduce "Wait Times"

The progressive war on Carbon, which is a de facto war on you, is showing no sign of slowing day soon. Canada has officially joined the coerced EV bandwagon and will be forcing manufacturers and consumers to buy this not-so-eco alternative by the year 2035.
"Canada is expected to announce new regulations this week that will require all vehicles sold in the country to be zero-emissions by 2035, according to news reports.
The new regulations, which will reportedly be called the Electric Vehicle Availability Standard, are intended to help guarantee automakers will produce enough zero-emissions vehicles for the expected demand, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) reported, citing a senior government source not authorized to speak publicly.
The source told the CBC that Canada has concerns over other countries, including the U.S., having a commanding influence on the supply of zero-emission vehicles. The announcement is expected to take place Tuesday, the reports said.
The Toronto Star, also citing a senior government official, reported the regulations seek to both reduce wait times for electric vehicles (EVs) and ensure the supply is 'going toward Canadian markets.'"
“By doing this nationally, we will make sure supply is available and that consumers in all provinces are going to get quicker access to the vehicles,” the official said, according to the outlet.
If there is one thing Canada is good at, it is definitely long wait times. That is the last entity you would expect to be able to reduce wait times and run something more efficiently. I cannot think of a time in history when "regulations" ensured an effective and fair market. Typically, deregulations help in that regard.
I am no political scientist, but I have yet to see any evidence that EV mandates will do much of anything to save the environment from the destruction of humanity's existence.
The same people who believe that trans individuals have some "right" to use any restroom based on their feelings for that day, could care less about any human rights abuses that occur as a result of mining. The Canadian government has questionable priorities, to say the very least.
I also don't see how the Canadian government can pretend that this is somehow benefiting or investing in Canada when everyone and their grandmas know that all the raw materials to make those cars come from China. But I highly doubt that would be much of a concern to them.
The same government that wants to digitalize your identification and currency also wants to mandate electronic vehicles. Do you think that is just a coincidence?
