DEVELOPING: Virginia Shooter Claims Woman He Murdered "Made Racist Comments"
This morning on August 26 in Virginia, a local news reporter Alison Parker, 24, and her cameraman Adam Ward, 27, were shot by suspect -- Vester Lee Flanagan --while filming an interview. Both died shortly after the incident. This story is developing.
The Franklin County Sheriff Department told NBC affiliate WSLS 10 that three people had been shot in the incident and said the search for a suspect was ongoing. A screengrab from the initial broadcast appears to show a gunman in dark clothing pointing a weapon.
There's a manhunt in progress for the suspect, who is seen on camera.
This is a tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of Alison Parker and Adam Ward, whose young lives were cut tragically short by an evil man. There should be just two subjects to focus on here: the victims who lost their lives, and the finding and prosecuting the man who took them. But already the #SJW comments are coming in about gun control. The left is already gearing up to use this tragedy (as they always do) to push for more gun control laws. The left will use any tragedy or act of violence to push their agenda.
Before the bodies are even cold, Hillary Clinton is using this tragedy to push for more gun control.
Heartbroken and angry. We must act to stop gun violence, and we cannot wait any longer. Praying for the victims' families in Virginia. -H— Hillary Clinton (@Hillary Clinton)1440603291.0
Just a horrendous human being.
Here's a wrinkle though. The shooter Vester Lee Flanagan, who's on air name was Bryce Williams, seems to be a SJW liberal himself, claiming that his victim was "racist." Credit to Paul Watson for uncovering this tweet from Lee's now suspended Twitter account.
See this is what happens. When you dehumanize people in order to win a political argument (i.e. calling them "racist" or "sexist" or "homophobic"), it makes it a lot easier to justify treating them inhumanely. It's sad, but this is where we are as a society.
An evil man shot and killed two people. Alison Parker and Adam Ward deserve justice, yes. But their lives should not be used as a platform to push a liberal agenda. Especially when all signs point toward the fact that Lee Flanagan, the shooter, was likely pushing a leftist agenda himself.
