Check out this video from Dennis Miller's appearance on 'Real Time with Bill Maher' where he blasted PC culture, especially on college campuses... Language warning: get thee to a safe-space if you find words too harmful for your little ears. Or if you have children present. That's reasonable.

Once hotbeds of free speech, college campuses across the country have engaged in an arms race to see who can craft the most restrictive speech code years of political correctness, binge drinking, and dropping bing cherries out of your a** into a shot glass, have bred a backlash now where anyone who dares to stray from the conventional school of wisdom in college is ostracized, slapped with the mark of Cain, and worst of all...made to forfeit their student activities fee discount to see Dave Mathews jam - and more importantly, inspire - during Spring Fling on the quad.

You know, what ever happened to the notion that college was a place where the best minds of the nation vigorously debated all sides of an issue?

Actually, that wasn't from this past weekend. This was from Dennis Miller's HBO show...back in 2002. Kind of prophetic, isn't it? Because aside from the Bush joke and Frasier references, the discussion could've just as easily happened yesterday. Except some 14 years later, our society has only fallen deeper into the loony hole. Which, let's be honest, might be a bottomless pit of suck.

I would love to tell you we've found rock bottom, but I don't think so. I just came from writing an article about how the DHS, the -- excuse the all caps yelling here -- DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY doesn't want to use the words "jihad" or "sharia" when discussing the threats of Islam. Even though it's been Islamists who honor Sharia, carrying out JIHAD, in attacking America. And not just September 11, but San Bernardino and Orlando.

So when we enter the time machine and travel back to 2002 and see two men discussing how crappy it is and how crappy it's going to get... we must come to one conclusion: the world has gone mad. The left in our society has put more emphasis on words, on offensive words, than on actions. As I see it, there's only one way to fight back. Don't cave in, don't censor yourself. Double down.
