Either the left has an anti-semitism problem, or the left has an anti-semitism problem (see Meghan McCain Just Scorched Women’s March Founder for Farrakhan Support, Anti-Semitism and Women’s March Founder Tamika Mallory Calls Israel “Human Rights Crime”). A problem which has led to the election of anti-semitic Congresspeople like Rep. Ilhan Omar. Maybe that’s “allegedly” anti-Semitic but just barely allegedly. Let’s allow some tiny wiggle room for the Congresswoman not understanding how Twitter works. Or how words work.
Case in point, retweeting a tweet calling out her anti-semitism.

This was in response to earlier tweets of hers including tweets criticizing Rep. Kevin McCarthy for wanting to condemn her previous anti-semitic comments. It’s okay if you’re already confused. But you tell me if the following two tweets are anything but anti-Israel/anti-Semitic.

For just a brief second, let’s be charitable. Maybe Ms. Omar didn’t read the full tweet, on account of online shopping for hijabs. How to bedazzle hijabs. Left swiping on Muslim single men who aren’t fully single. Or maybe she has clumsy fingers while scrolling. Possible side effect of being a hateful bigot. Stranger things have happened.
The problem is if and when mistakes like what Omar committed happen to anyone on the right, they don’t get the benefit of the doubt. Remember Ted Cruz’s liked porn tweet? Uh huh.
So if we’re playing by the left’s rules, it’s triggering and problematic that no Democrat has the courage to denounce Omar’s hate speak. Who will be the first to denounce?
