In elementary school, children typically choose their favorite colors, foods, and people. Best friends forever means until 3rd grade. Thanks to SJWs, children are now encouraged to choose their gender and race. Progress, hooray.

Now Delaware is considering letting children as young as five officially choose their gender and melanin levels. Officially as in legally. Yes, really.

Under Regulation 225, schools would be required to provide access to facilities and activities that are consistent with a student’s gender identity—regardless of the child’s sex at birth. That includes bathrooms, locker rooms, team sports and adhering to the child’s preferred name. Under the proposal, students could also choose their own race.

What has rankled some parents is that the new regulation does not require schools to inform parents of the child’s decision. Instead, the policy advises administrators to assess the child’s well-being before disclosing the information to the child’s parents. “The regulation isn’t about keeping a secret, it’s about what’s in the best interest of the child,” said Mark Purpura, president of Equality Delaware.

Pesky uncle Sam, wanting to rid children of normalcy, throwing them into a state of confusion early on. All while parents are oblivious. The proposal defines gender as a protected characteristic of children, prosecuting school staff who dare challenge the policy. It’s like a “Twilight Zone” version of “The Hunger Games” in which clown-colored kids rule the capital, beheading wayward parents.

To summarize the above jargon: the state of Delaware will now let children decide if they’re gender fluid and identify as a green alien. Tolerance.

Five-year-old Samantha is a tomboy. She wears overalls. She gets dirty. Samantha proclaims “I want to be a boy.” Administrators ask Samantha if she feels safe telling her parents. She says no. Because the last time she tried peeing standing up, mom yelled at her for making a mess. Soon Samantha is being called Sam. She’s put in the boys’ locker room and being addressed as “he.”

Sam is now confused and scared over why her world has changed. Behavioral problems develop. Then emotional. All in the name of “child protection.” Meanwhile, Sam can’t even tie his/her/zer own shoes or walk across the street by themselves.

This is the left’s version of utopia. A world where Katniss Everdeen is turned into Chris Smokethegreen. A world where parents aren’t allowed to parent or protect their children. This is on par with what the left wants our future to be. Spoiler: it’s hell.
