Dear leftists who think all religions are "the same,"

Lemme put it simply and spare you the task of reading the rest of the post: no, not all religions are the same. There. See? Saved you a read.

Yet every time a not-Christian or a not-Buhdist blows something up or kills a bunch of people, the same leftist talking point floods the world with its latent stupidity: IT'S NOT ISLAM THAT'S THE PROBLEM. IT'S ALL RELIGIONS!

The reasons for such a statement/belief are two fold.

One, it’s how leftists like you mount your moral high horses. Which you groom with moral pomposity. Two, always unsaid, you leftists are scared feces-less of Islam and want to toss all religions in with it to err on the side of not getting suicide-bombed. Or decapitated. Raped.

Now, a critical-thinking invidual sees that these two points are in opposition to one another. If all religions are just as bad, then one should fear the Calvinists as much as the Muslims. Yet... nope.

Here's the dealio: you leftists prove every day, by your words and your deeds, what you're willing to say about Christians and what you're unwilling to say about Muslims, that you KNOW some religions are better than others (read Sarah Silverman Caves to PC Speech Police - 'Change with the times...'). Fact is, no one is afraid of a Buddhist extremist shooting up your Christmas party. No one is afraid of literally losing their head from their shoulders over an unflattering portrait of Jesus. Or... any portrait of Jesus (see more below). You know why? Christians tend not to blow people up. Buddhists aren't exactly known for shooting up parties. I mean, I'm sure one has at some point, but it's not their calling card.

Yes, I'm an unabashed Christian. I don't hide from it, I'm open about it, and try not to incessently proselytize. But Jesus is my savior. Trivia? Jesus calls on His followers to love and serve the Lord. He does not call on His followers to kill the infidels. Just so we're clear.

But this post isn't strictly about how Jesus didn't advocate for the extermination of the Jews. Fact is, different religions have had different effects on society. Measurable ones. Is any religious person perfect? No, because each of us are sinners. We're all hypocrites, religious or atheist. Scientologist or Christian. Mormon or Buddhist. Hindu or Muslim. All religious people are flawed. Because we're people. Got it? Good.

Here's a truth many can't handle: some religions are better for the world than others. I make zero apologies for it. Spoiler alert: Islam sucks. Hard. Especially for those in its blast radius. The simple fact is that in our purely result-based, very physical reality... religions have had very different effects on society throughout human history. There's the good, like missionary work coming from Christians in record numbers across the third world (current and in the past). There's the bad, like the Inquisition (past) or when Mary Tudor decided to purge her country of those pesky Protestants (bad, but now you know where "Bloody Mary" comes from). Both in the very distant past, may I add. No, that doesn't excuse such barbaric behavior. Here's the thing? Muslim Jihadis rape child-brides and burn people alive in cages. Currently. Not just several hundred years ago. That crap is happening now. Not way back then, but NOW now.

As a Christian, believing Christ to be the I Am that He claimed, I obviously think Buddhists are wrong. I obviously think Scientologists are wrong. But I also understand that my physical well-being is not under imminent threat by said wrong Scientologists... barring a lawsuit from NOT GAY John Travolta. Or couch-jumping Tom Cruise. Seriously, worst-case scenario, I get sued by a closeted sprite while the other destroys my futon. I'm not sweating it. Not sure we can say the same for a hot and bothered Muslim.

Side note: If that Muslim is in fact gay?

Historically, early Christians faced oppression. And I'm not just talking about Christians of old. I'm talking allllll the way back to Jesus's bros. Otherwise known as his apostles and diciples. See, if I had made that casual joke about Islam, what do you think the Muslims would do to me? You're catching on. Anyway, it's not just by biblical accounts that Jesus' own peeps were killed, but by corroborating historical accounts. All of the disciples were killed with the exception of John for professing their faith. Well, and Judas who hung himself. Let us note, though, that while Judas committed suicide, he took no one else with him. Jihadis, take note. Please.

Yet another side note for you ALL RELIGIONS ARE THE SAME morons: How often have you mocked a Christian for being a Christian? How often have you mocked a Muslim for being a Muslim? Right. This game isn't like T-ball by the way. I'm totally keeping score. You're losing.

On the flip side, Islam, regardless of state-enforced oppression (or *cough* lack thereof *cough*) was spread by the sword (read Debunking the Myth that 'Right Wing' America Makes Islam Worse). Let's do a little compare and contrast. Those Jehovah's Witnesses who come to your door? You may drop to the floor and hide to avoid talking with them, you may even open the door and say "thanks but no thanks," but you probably don't fear an imminent, violent demise. Am I right?

But even now in 2016, long after the Inquisition, long after Bloody Mary, long after the Reformations, even longer after the Crusades, Islam continues to spread its message through violence and breeding. They've had a centuries long PR problem they've yet to fix. As such they keep forcing people to convert or die. This is what we'd call a "viscous cycle." Vicious being the key word, there. Because when you think of Islam the Religion of Peace (trademark pending), you're not oft to think of holiday potlucks, people holding hands and praying, or corny, simple childhood hymns. You proably also don't think of the Ten Commandments. Or the Beatitudes. Maybe not even about that time Saul had his infamous "come to Jesus meeting" and later converted to Paul. No, no, when one thinks of Islam, one probably thinks of violence. Obviously that makes you right. It also makes you a racist. Bet you didn't know that.

Look it, leftists, even if you're an atheist, you have to acknowledge the truth here. You don't have to believe in God. God doesn't have to be real for the influence of his followers' IDEAS to be real. Loving thy neighbor as you love yourself, even though Jesus advocated it, is still good policy to live by. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, aiding the poor, taking care of the least of these? Can't we all agree they're pretty nifty ideas and have made the world a better place? No, Jesus wasn't advocating government steal people's money and redistribute it as it sees fit. Stop it with your socialist agendas. Read Jesus: Not the Wimp Liberals Would Have you Believe.

So while you mount that moral high horse to drink the koolaid, bear in mind that if you draw a picture of Jesus in an unflattering way, nothing bad will happen to you. But if you do the same of Muhammad? Well, let's just say you might want to watch yourself. The Muslims will add you to their hit list (as they have with yours truly).
