Nikki Fried is one of two people who is going to lose to Ron DeSantis in November. David Hogg is a former child star who doesn't like guns. The two had a back and forth today and Hogg let the candidate know who is boss. Shout out to Twitchy, which remains an excellent site through the years.

At issue is some random organization demanding people sign an "assault weapons" ban pledge. Sure, you and I know that any weapon can be an assault weapon. But these are all ultra-radical progressives who use "assault weapon" as a code word for whatever the scariest gun is that they can think of that week. Two Florida candidates did not sign the pledge. Ron DeSantis, naturally. And Nikki Fried.

Fried is still an anti-gun nut and virtue signaller. She just doesn't believe in signing pledges. I can respect that somewhat.

Good for her standing on her principles! You can almost respect her for it. Maybe 17% respect.

At least until David Hogg came along to cyberbully her for having a different opinion than him. Only about writing her name on paper. She agrees that guns are scary, but that's not enough for David.

Hogg likes to pick on gun owners. Also, any males who hit the gym once in a while and aren't made of soy. He calls us names and challenges our manhood. But we laugh at him.

So he thought he'd try picking on a girl. Hogg reminded Fried who the alpha is and meangirled her until she signed her dignity away.

It took all of thirty minutes for the 17% respect to go to zero, and for Fried to abandon all principles. All over a little cyberbullying.

Sorry, Florida. But look on the bright side. You still have Ron DeSantis.
