Here’s the thing. Steven is happy to talk with you, civilly, about almost anything. He’s quite reasonable, even with people in complete opposition to his worldview. But when the civility isn’t returned and takes on a more violent flavor, that’s when Steven draws a line. Threaten him or his crew with violence, and he becomes… how shall we say… perturbed. Call it a character flaw.
As with our previous episode, no one seemed able or willing to condemn threats of violence against Steven and his crew. What’s the expression? One time is a coincidence, the second time is a trend.
So far it looks as though one side is dealing in violence while proclaiming themselves the arbiters of love, peace, and all things rainbow delight. Hostility as conflict resolution is so ordinary to some, evidence of threats of that hostility being presented doesn’t make a dent.
