Gun Win! Congress to REVERSE Obama's Awful Social Security Gun Restrictions

Team Crowder
January 25, 2017

Obama's days of signing executive orders and part time golfing are over. Apparently he's Baracking it up in the California sun now, but his aura lingers in Washington. In the chair of the Oval Office, his legacy freedom-hating carbon butt print remains.

His presence is evident in other ways too, slowly withering away though it is (see Trump Reverses Obama's Abortion Funding Overseas). Speaking of which, some of BO's anti-gun rulings are crumbling as well. Finally, news regarding congress and guns that doesn't suck...

Congress agreed to review a final rule by the Obama administration that would wrongly strip law-abiding Americans of their Second Amendment rights.

Last year, the Social Security Administration finalized a propose rule to ban certain recipients who use a representative payee from owning firearms. This ill-conceived action stripped the right to keep and bear arms without due process from some of the most vulnerable Americans.

The review process is expected to move forward in the house and receive a vote as early as next week. "We are pleased that congress is moving swiftly to ensure that law-abiding Americans' constitutional rights are respected," concluded Chris W. Cox, executive director, NRA-ILA.

This is just one of many restrictive rulings to come under the Obama administration (see Concealed Carry? Yeah, You Don't Have a Right to That... Says 9th Circuit Court). It's also just one of many Obama rules to be put on the chopping block. For which zero tears are shed.

The original rule was harmful to those on SSI and disability insurance, who were facing restrictions on gun ownership. In other words? Sorry old, disabled people. You're too old and disabled to be allowed to defend yourselves (see JUSTICE: Disabled, Repeated Robbery Victim Gets a Gun... And Shoots a Robber). This was a big, unconstitutional no-no for obvious reasons. Hence why this is great news for law abiding citizens.

This is the sort of change people were hoping for when they voted in the recent election (see Crowder UNLOADS: 'People voted Trump because Democrats screwed them!'). Hopefully, this is a sign of more stompage of insufferable, Democrat rulings to come...
