Comedian Bill Burr has an Issue with Outrage Mob Justice on Social Media
Bill Burr is a favorite amongst the Crowderheads (see Angry Feminist Accuses Bill Burr of Hate Speech. He Destroys Her… and Bill Burr Describes What it Means to Be Liberal, and it’s Perfect…). Even though he mentioned in a recent interview that he doesn't like it when political websites write blog posts about him.
Burr was on Conan with a hysterical bit on parenting and the lack of it these days. But at the end of this clip is the part that I wanted to focus on.
I miss tougher parenting, and evidence. Those are the things I miss from my childhood. Due process. That doesn't exist now on social media. It's just frontier justice. You see how nervous everyone just got that I suggested there should be due process? "This guy's talking crazy, man. Did he just join ISIS?"
Here's why sharing videos like this is important. Yes, I understand Burr isn't someone who binge watches CRTV.
First off, it's because this video is funny. It's good to laugh. It's important to take a break from Trump vs Reacting to Trump news and lighten up a bit.
Secondly, when apolitical people are mocking the left the same way we do, the mockery is an indicator as to which way culture is shifting. It a sign the left has gotten so bats*** crazy, the middle is pushing back. Similarly to when the shift swung the other direction with the Moral Majority in the late 80s/early 90s. People who say there's nothing to mock the left for most likely don't know anyone who isn't on the left.
A leftist trick is acting like they hold the majority opinion. That there's something wrong with you for thinking otherwise. But it's just a trick. Then, when not-conservatives like Burr have similar opinions to conservatives, like us, it's harder for the left to trick everyone into thinking everyone thinks like a leftist.
