It's Come to This: Kim Kardashian Blasts Gun Rights on Twitter
Yeah, so when I said earlier today that "celebrities be so stupid posts" aren't really my bag, this is my third one. I mean, I personally think they were pretty terrible (see Jessica Chastain Just Used the Las Vegas Shooting to Push a Failed Gun Control Movie and Ariana Grande Calls Las Vegas Shooting 'Terrorism,' Calls for Gun Control). And if you're going to blog about a tired old anti-gun meme, why not wait until one of the dumbest people on the planet tweet it. Ladies and gentleman, I give you Kim Kardashian.
Stop me if you heard this one before.
She thought so long and hard about it, she didn't even add a thought or so much as an emoji. Though she did follow up with this.
As for a rebuttal? The Founding Father's didn't imagine Twitter or an Internet when they thought up the First Amendment either. I mean--
Here's the thing, and why writing this isn't as frivolous as the person who's the subject of this entire story. Kim Kardashian, while uneducated and an absolute waste of bacteria, is an influencer. She's an influencer who has over FIFTY FREAKIN NINE MILLION TWITTER FOLLOWERS. Mitt Romney in 2012? 60 million votes. My God.
That's 59,000,000 people (in theory, I'm sure a lot of SPAM) all being exposed to someone who had she not had sex on video, no one would be paying attention to anything she thinks about anything. Yet here we are.
