Last week, college students were offended by a State of the Union address that hadn’t even happened yet. Now that the speech is said and done, they can collect their thoughts… And they’re still offended. At Barack Obama’s State of the Union, that is.
The lads and lasses of Campus Reform set out to interview college students on what they thought about the SOTU. The reactions were mostly negative. Just one problem though. The quotes they were reacting to were actually quotes from an Obama speech.
That sweet tribalism, my man. It’s a hell of a drug.
Following President Trump’s first SOTU, we asked students at John Jay College what they thought of some of his more controversial statements from the speech… What they didn’t know, was that these quotes were actually given by President Obama during his own SOTU addresses. Watch to find out their reaction.
If you’re like me, you’re wondering if those were really college students or just random street implings. Either way, seemed to be quite a few negative ninnies. Every single interviewee was quick to get their two trifling cents in, but notice how not a single student asked for more context into the quotes. They simply reacted first, guided by their bitter bitterness. Vomiting out whatever opinion Salon.com shat into their brains earlier that day.
To their credit, most people conceded their stupid bias when confronted with the facts. Though I’m not sure one can do much else after making such a giant idiot of oneself on camera. Funny how that works.
Here’s hoping these students meant what they said about researching and being informed. I can’t help but get the sneaking suspicion it was little more than lip service (see BUSTED: College Students Love Trump’s Tax Plan. When they Think it’s Bernie’s!). When leftists observe Donald Trump, they don’t hear his opinions or ideas. They just see orange. Rage-inducing, triggering orange…
