Yet another strike-out for "the most trusted name in news." CNN reported the Senate Intelligence Committee was investigating Trump campaign adviser Anthony Scaramucci, and his ties to a Russian investment fund that may or may not have had something to do with Russia hacking the election. Except their story was very much lacking in the fact department.

Scaramucci, of course, declared shenanigans...

Wanna know how badly CNN done messed up? The story vanished into thin air, like the last vestiges of Johnny Depp's sanity. So, apologies for no pull quote. Instead, we're left only with this little note from CNN's non-verifying editor...

If you're like me, you're going to read about this leftist hit job and say to yourself, "Self...CNN had editorial standards in the first place? The heck you say?!"

After all, this is the same network that stages Muslim protests, demands evidence of no evidence from its guests, and employs correspondents who dine on human cerebellums. Or rather, employed. Methinks integrity and "editorial standards" at CNN went the way of the dinosaur quite a while ago. They're practically a walking punchline at this point.

It wouldn't be surprising in the slightest if a Hillary staffer were to email a CNN reporter, saying their best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Trump and Putin making out at 31 Flavors last night...and that story would make publication, citing "anonymous sources." As this story shows, their standards are certainly low enough.

The longer this fake news machine goes on, the more the left makes Trump's case. They talk of Russian conspiracies as if they're fact, with not a shred of hard evidence. They chastise Trump for the "mortal sin" of driving his golf cart over some high-end grass. The leftist media is their own worst enemy, and they don't even realize it. High school newspapers have more rigorous standards than they do.

So, no reason to act surprised when you guys get called out for it...
