CNN's Alisyn Camerota Makes 'Racist' Comment to Spelling Bee Winner...

Courtney Kirchoff
June 06, 2017

We are used to CNN producing mass fakery and tranny feature stories that give you the willies (see CNN’s Alisyn Camerota Pushes Trump/Russia Conspiracy. John Sununu Wrecks Her Face! and EXPOSED: CNN Caught Staging ‘Muslim Protest’ on Camera). But here's a fun plot twist: CNN's liberal darling Alisyn Camerota made kind of a racist comment. In a recent interview with a child spelling prodigy, hostess Camerota made a small jab at the girl's Indian heritage...

A CNN host is accused of making what some are saying is a "racist" remark to 12-year-old Scripps Spelling Bee Champion Ananya Vinay who the host said likely misspelled a word on air because "it's root is not in Sanskrit, which is what you're probably used to using."

Hosts Alisyn Camerota, who made the comment, and Chris Cuomo jokingly asked her to spell 'covfefe,' what Ms Camerota called a "nonsense word."

Ananya, who is of Indian origin, was born and raised in Fresno, California and had just been named the 2017 champion the previous evening. An Indian-American child has won the competition every year since 2008, and Ananya is the 13th overall to do so.

Here's the part where Twitter devours Alisyn with a hefty helping of tandoori chicken.

Indian American children have won the Scripps spelling bee for TEN YEARS STRAIGHT. And every year, the next day,… https://t.co/DgVNTujDcQ

Every goddamn year the media disrespects our kids for winning the spelling bee. Every time. https://t.co/I7sQ6buAHu

Okay, so here's the deal. We're not going to get outraged over Alisyn Camerota being a dingus. But if Alisyn was, say, a Republican, she'd be off the air. Her comment would be repeated by every news outlet, especially the competing ones. Celebrities would virtue signal how in 2017, we cannot tolerate this kind of intolerance. Twitter would've blown up with #NotAllIndians or #SanscritThisAlisyn in seconds.

But here... I predict Camerota will maybe make an apology, and you'll forget this story by next week.

If there's privilege in our society, it's not white, black, Hispanic, male or female. It's liberal privilege. Say whatever you want, shrug your shoulders and give a half-apology, you're back on track.
