Authorities Investigating as a Terrorist Attack). Aaaand the details are exactly what you'd expect. The NYPD has confirmed that the attacker yelled "Allahu Akbar." Hardly comes as a shock, I know, but it gets even worse. CNN just came out with this little number:
Of course, let's be cautious here. During times of trauma, the grand people of the internet have been known to shamelessly Photoshop a thing or two. Not so in this case. Straight from the horse's rear end:
Multiple law enforcement sources tell CNN that the incident in New York City is being investigated as terrorism… https://t.co/RxXv1L2ceM— The Situation Room (@The Situation Room)1509484108.0
Yeah, so that's CNN doing everything within their power to avoid using the phrase Allahu Akbar. Notice they make zero verbal mention of it as well. This terrorist attack on American soil is a huge deal, yet they simply skipped over one of the most important details of the story because it didn't fit their narrative. Oopsie, their mistake!
Oh well. There's always next time.
